Altitude: 439 metres above sea-level
Soil characteristics: chalky, medium texture
Harvesting period: end of September
Brief maceration with temperature controlled fermentation in steel, ageing for 6 months in steel and at least 3 months in the bottle.
Alcohol content: 14 % Vol.
Appearance: ruby red, full-bodied
Aroma: mature and intense nose, pleasant notes of red fruit lending freshness and persistence of aroma
Taste: clean, elastic Nero di Troia; rich in young but well-contained tannic fruits. Well-balanced, clean on the palate with a good length finish.
Recommended with: roasted and grilled meats, vegetables of the season and semi-mature cheeses.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.
